LIBRARY
The library is unrivaled with more than 1000+ books, subscribed latest periodicals and magazines, both Indian and foreign. The students are encouraged to cultivate good reading habits and use the library as an important center for learning.
BUS FACILITY
The school has bus facility from most of the locations of the district. Specially designed buses for the safety & comfort of the students are used. The children are picked & dropped by the escorts. The routes are planned in such a way that the travel time of the children is minimized.
DG SET & UNINTERRUPTED POWER SUPPLY
DG Set is installed in Campus to cover the load shedding, With a total captive power of 30KVA the residents enjoy a 24 hours uninterrupted power supply
MEDICAL FACILITIES AND FIRST AID
The school has first Aid facility of its own. Regular medical check-ups for the entire school will be done routinely. Cases requiring serious medical attention will be taken to the nearest hospital.
The school authorities reserve the right to refer a student to any specialist for treatment or operation when the need arises and when time is at a premium. In all normal cases, the parents will be consulted before such action is taken.
ART & CRAFT ROOM
Arts and crafts are fun for children and they can show creativity through their artistic work. It is the easiest way to relieve stress and rediscover their creative spark. These art & craft activities cover a wide range of activities like tieing & dyeing, poster making, painting, collage, origami, kite making, vegetable painting, craft work etc. So we have separate Art & craft room to preserve the students work and display.
LABORATORIES
Large, fully equipped laboratories are there to encourage students to partially explore what they have learned theoretically and inculcate in them the scientific temper of experimentation and validation. The school has the following laboratories:
Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Math’s, Computer Lab.
LIBRARY
The students are encouraged to read good books. The library provides State-of-the-art facilities for developing reading habits and also satisfies the students curiosity for knowledge. This helps them to increase their vocabulary and spoken English. Class III onwards each class is allotted with one Library period in a week. They can go to library in the specified period and read the book of their choice. The spacious and large reading room caters to the needs of the students. Students can also borrow books of their choice and take them to home for a definite period. The school library is rich in the books of all varieties like story books, reference books, encyclopedia, dictionaries, puzzles, question banks, books for competitive exams, magazines, periodicals and journals. The library has an open access system for students from where they can select the books of their choice. Class I and II, the Teacher reads out story books / shows a story through smart boards in class rooms
MATH LAB
We, teacher or parents always expect 100% marks in Mathematics from our children. Have we ever thought that whether a child likes Maths or not ? From Psychological point of view a Child`s love for a subject depends on the method by which the teacher is imparting knowledge. For example, to teach shapes in junior classes, a teacher is supposed to give the children different colorful & dimensional shapes which they can feel, touch and then perception of the object by sense organ helps a child to know different shapes. For senior classes, the introduction of indentities (a+b)2 / (a-b)2 can be explained geometrically by cutting papers in rectangular or square form and arranging them in order . We, teachers of Saksham School, Wardha are doing lot of experiment in Mathematics where the mathematical formulae /Laws are not learnt by the children by heart but they establish the relationship among the variables and the validity of the formula as tested
CLASSROOMS
The classroom is a pulsating space with an excitement that is reflected in all the activities of Saksham School, Wardha. Careful thought has been applied for the construction of the classrooms which are spacious, ventilated and allow plenty of natural light thus keeping the atmosphere fresh and making them ideal for concentrated learning. Since Pre-School is child’s introduction to the world of education, it must be an environment where they experience the fun of learning. Hence, the Pre-Nursery classes are held in gaiety and creatively decorated classrooms. Children in the Nursery Kingdom also learn with joy and enthusiasm every day in their carefully planned curriculum.
DIGITAL CLASSROOMS
Saksham School, Wardha has brought in digital revolution in its 15 classrooms. Teaching and learning has indeed become very interesting and effective due to implementation of SMART CLASS in its classrooms. “Smart Class” is a technology oriented initiative for schools which provides tools and content for interactive self-paced learning by students, as well as rich-media presentations for teacher-led classroom learning. The content available consists of pedagogically sound and visually rich curriculum resources mapped and customized as per the school’s scheme of work. This content can be streamed into the classroom and shown by teachers in the classroom to make abstract concepts real. Teachers include their own learning materials for the students.
